St Swithun’s Day ‘fun’draising challenge. Legend has it that if it rains on St Swithun’s Day then the wet weather will continue for 40 days. Would you be prepared to pledge to donate a sum of money for each day it rains in the Parish on the 40 days following 15 July? There are pledge sheets at each church for you to sign. There is also a competition to see who can estimate most accurately the amount of rain that will fall over this period. Funds raised will go towards the running costs of both churches.

Sponsored Cycle Ride – Julian hopes to cycle the length of the Loire (nearly 600 miles). Please consider sponsoring him to help fund church repairs.

A Journey Through S. Rwenzori and Burundi Two members of our Deanery, Rev. Andrew Ashdown and Jane Horne, have recently returned from a fact finding mission to Uganda and Burundi. What they have discovered makes very interesting viewing and listening. Do join them at Poppies (Choice Plants - Timsbury) on July 5th at 7.30 pm when they will be presenting an evening of their findings. There will be a break half way through the evening, when delicious refreshments will be available.
